Staying Active & Healthy at Home

Welcome back for another installment with Living to be Well.  We all know the Coronavirus has kept most of bed ridden, stuck at home, or even worse, scared to leave home. However, with all that is currently going in the world. We should remain to be healthy and have a work/life balance in the process.

In the past few posts, we have talked about balancing and strengthening your spiritual health with chakras and yoga. Now, lets dive into your physical health a little more. We all know it’s very important to stay healthy, but even more so now that we are dealing with a pandemic and virus that attacks the body in a very extreme way.

Since most of us are not able to attend a gym due to Social Distancing restrictions. There is way to still stay fit even while social distancing. I have found a YouTube video by influencer @megsquats.

Below are some workouts you can do at home with your own body weight.

Glute Bridge 3x12
Abductor Pumps 3x12
Sissy Squat 3x6 – 10
Reverse Lunges 3x20
Ab Wheel Rollout/Walkout 3X8
Suitcase Carry 3x30s/side
Bear Crawl 3x30/side
ITYW 3x6 each position
Lateral Raise hold 3x40 sec
 

The last thing you want to do is lose that summer body you worked so hard only to lose it by eating uncontrollably. It has been proven that many people have gained what is called “COVID Weight”. Even though you cant make it to the gym or your favorite stores, there are ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle even during Quarantine.
